Since returning from holidays I’ve had nothing but electrical problems… sorry for not posting, I upgraded WordPress and my template didn’t like it but due to having problems with my hosting, I was unable to reload the old version of WordPress (until last night).
I’ll be back blogging soon!

I’m back from my holiday in Peru, Argentina, Chile and New York, and I have a renewed energy. I loved, loved, loved Peru, its people and their amazing sites. We spent time at Willka T’ika, a gorgeous retreat centre in The Sacred Valley and a couple of days in the town near Machu Picchu.
The retreat centre had 7 gardens all aligned to the 7 major chakras and their energy was amazing. After my Crystal Bed Healing session I found myself in the Heart Chakra garden. It was a little garden tucked away by lots of greenery and it had a large heart shaped, rose quartz crystal sitting on a stone that sat in the middle of the garden. The flowers around it were pink and green… the colours of the heart chakra.

While at the retreat we also participated in a Despacho Ceremony. It is an Andean practice of making offerings to the mountains (apus), Mother Earth (Pachamama), and other spirits of nature in reciprocity, reverence, and thanksgiving. A despacho is an act of love and a reminder of the connections we share with all beings, elements, spirits, and sacred places. At the deepest level, it is an opportunity to enter into the essential unity of all things, the living energy of the universe.
There are different types of despacho ceremonies, we held a Pachamama despacho, which is an offering of thanks to Mother Earth and an invocation for her blessings. It was a beautiful ceremony lead by a local Shaman. Thankfully our guide stayed with us and interpreted what he said because he spoke a local language, Quechua. The ceremony was something special and at the end after blessing us we burnt the offerings the Shaman had put together.

While wandering the Incan site, Machu Picchu with my husband and our guide, I did sneak away to meditate at this ancient and spiritual site. All I can say it was beautiful… the experience blew me away.
Now that I’m back I’ll need to organise the many digital photos I took not just of Peru, but of the other places we visited. I wasn’t really sure where to start but after reading about organising digital photos over at A Good Sort, I don’t feel so overwhelmed.
I’ll tackle my photos in between preparing for some workshops that I’ll be holding at Shakti Healing Circle. More information to come on those… stay tuned!

I missed Earth Day this year, which fell on the 22nd April 2008. I’m not sure why I missed such a significant day… obviously I was caught up with other things.
Anyway, while reading Pink Heels I found Jennifer’s Happy Earth Day post and I must say I love her number 10 point - Want to know the biggest secret towards loving the earth? Of course you do! If you love yourself, that love will naturally spread to others and our beautiful earth!

Isn’t this a great reminder that anything is possible…
True, Nicole, it’s not always easy to imagine places you’ve never been but dream of going, owning things you’ve never had but dream of having, and being the type of person you’ve not yet been but have always aspired to be… but wouldn’t it be easy to imagine the after-party? With best friends and family in the swankiest club you know while your favorite music plays. Proposing toasts, receiving toasts, crying happy tears. Getting hugs, hearing congratulations, leading the conga-line. And otherwise carrying on as you do when you’re feeling light as a feather and all the world makes sense.
And that should pretty much do it.
Follow Nicole everyone!
The Universe
PS: Seeing beyond the “end result,” especially preparing for beyond the “end result,” Nicole, is as good as, if not better than, simply seeing and preparing for the “end result.” Toga!

From the book The Invitation by Oriah
It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for
and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool
for love
for your dream
for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn’t interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow
if you have been opened by life’s betrayals
or have become shrivelled and closed
from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain
mine or your own
without moving to hide it
or fade it
or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy
mine or your own
if you can dance with wildness
and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes
without cautioning us to
be careful
be realistic
remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn’t interest me if the story you are telling me
is true.
I want to know if you can
disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like the company you keep
in the empty moments.

Carol Ritberger is a medical intuitive, a radio host with Hay House Radio and an innovative leader in the fields of personality typology and intuitive medicine.
She is the author of Your Personality, Your Health, What Color is Your Personality?, LOVE…What’s Personality Got to Do With It? and Managing People… What’s Personality Got to Do With It?
She offers these words to her listeners and readers:-
- You have the power to heal yourself - The body is designed for self-healing and the soul is designed for self-healing. The only variable in whether healing happens lies in the quality of your thoughts.
- Only you can heal yourself. No one else can - Others can only offer support, knowledge, suggestions, and perspectives. Only you can make the changes necessary to heal.
- Love heals - The energy of love carries an incredible healing power. When you offer love to any part of the body that’s hurting or not functioning properly, it engages the restorative powers of the soul and the mind.
- Forgiveness creates the space for love in the heart - When our heart is full of fear, anger, sadness or despair, there’s no room for caring, compassion, self-acceptance, and self-love, the necessary elements for healing to happen.
- Focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want - Healing works with the Law of Attraction. What you think you become. What you become, you think. The best way to see whether thoughts are healthy or unhealthy is to look at the condition of your body. After all, it’s the vehicle your soul uses to tell you the quality of your thoughts. If the condition of the body isn’t what you want it to be - create different thoughts.
Wise words from a wise healer. The point about ‘love heals‘ reminds me of the Hawaiian healing of Ho’oponopono whereby a therapist said ‘I’m sorry and I love you’ to the criminally insane, and cured them all.
I try to subscribe to what she says however I know when you’re feeling not so good, it’s difficult to focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want. I have had first hand experience of the law of attraction so I know that it works - therefore I imagine myself well, happy and healthy every day.

Girlfriends are essential to the wellbeing of every girl. You can laugh with them, cry with them, bounce ideas off them and be yourself with them. Girlfriends are irreplaceable. They can build self-esteem and can help us value ourselves.
As a way of celebrating your friendships, here are 5 ideas for holding a ‘Girl’s Night In’.
1. Kick start the evening with this ‘to die for’ cocktail, Death By Chocolate, I found it over at the Beauty Banquet blog - doesn’t it sound divine!
2. Serve up some delicious finger food such as Eggplant Pockets and Crab Fritters.
3. Hold a Girl’s Night In Goddess Playshop that honours you and your friends as women and goddesses. During the playshop you will be introduced to ancient and mythical Goddesses of the past which allows you to reconnect with your own inner goddess.
4. Pamper each other with a hand massage or mini manicure using these gorgeous goddess oils. Each oil is named according to one of the 7 Patronesses of our 7 major Chakras.
5. Lastly have fun giving each other oracle readings using these fun and inspiring Chakra Oracle cards.
In my opinion, your girlfriends should be celebrated. Enjoy!

I love my notes and this note (below) reminded me that the steps we take, do help us get to where we want to be, and the steps always offer lessons, insights and clarity.
What does it say to you?

Do you think the most stunning, celebrated, and adept dancer in the entire world, Nicole, could become so by only ever dancing to the most brilliant, illuminating, and clever music in the world?
Or would they freak, hip-hop, and tango to every riff, beat, and la-bamba within earshot?
Shall we?
The Universe
PS: Yeah, Nicole, the latter, even early on when no one paid them any attention and their little steps seemed so paltry compared to the glamorous waltz that moved in their heart.
